Users report that Transmetro blocks an intersection in the “city of the future”: “Aahh but you stay like this in #traficogt and you won’t be saved from your fine,” said one user.
This Friday, drivers have reported that the streets and avenues of Guatemala City are impassable, to the point that drivers have time waiting in traffic that in some places is completely paralyzed.
Amílcar Montejo, Mayor of the Municipal Traffic Police of Guatemala, reported several incidents. One was recorded on the route to the Atlantic, where a trailer overturned and a bus had mechanical defects. Add to that the fact that it is March 15, pay day, so many drivers decide to take out their vehicles.

Desperate drivers have decided to share on social networks the situation they are experiencing in different parts of the city.
One of them shared the photo of a Transmetro that was blocking an intersection. “Aahh but you stay like this in #traficogt and you won’t be saved from your fine,” said one user.
Others stated that he was unmoved by the National Civil Police academy located in zone 6: “The police graduated and they had buses in both directions of the road. They order food as if it were nothing and the traffic is mopped up by all their cars.”
“The Periférico is collapsed”, “Road to El Salvador impossible”, “You cannot pass through Congress”, are some comments on social networks.
