The moment has had an institutional act in which the President of the Principality, Adrián Barbón, the Minister of Health, Pablo Fernandez, and the Government Delegate, Delia Losa, along with other positions and representatives of the Asturian health system and the armed forces, directly responsible for the assembly and disassembly of the tents that housed the provisional facilities at HUCA.
Barbón has been satisfied that both these facilities, as well as those set up in the Gijón fairgrounds, have not had to be used, and with the anticipation with which Asturias reacted compared to other regions. A sample, he said, that our health system was able to respond correctly in the toughest moments of the pandemic.
The President has acknowledged that mistakes have been made during this time, which he considered inevitable due to ignorance of the enemy that society was facing; mistakes, he insisted, from which to learn for future emergencies. He also recalled that we should not lower our guard to avoid outbreaks and the need to maintain the necessary sanitary measures in the so-called new normal that will force us to live with the virus until a vaccine is found that can deal with it.
The act ended with the order to dismount his men by Colonel Chief of the Prince Regiment, Pardo de Santayana.
