He Dos Hermanas Town Hall and the Juan Ramon Guillen Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of teaching in the municipality Specialized training in the field of olive growing during the last months of the year.
The project, developed within the framework of Coosur Solidaritya program launched with the Randstad Foundationcontemplates the imparting of two face-to-face trainings in the facilities of the Bécquer Building from the Montequinto neighborhood, ceded by the local council.
Specifically, with this collaboration agreement, a course of Ecological olive growing which will address issues such as the importance of soil in organic olive growing, basic principles of organic fertilization, pest control, different cultural works in organic olive farms and the recycling of olive by-products. And, on the other hand, a course on Master of olive oil mill and tasting of extra virgin olive oil This will allow participants to expand their knowledge of the olive oil production process and its organoleptic properties.
City with olive-growing tradition
In this sense, the mayor of Dos Hermanas Town HallPaco Rodríguez, has highlighted that “our city occupies a prominent role in the olive oil sectorwith companies like the Acesur group at the forefront, and to this end we work in the field of training. In this line we have signed an agreement with the Juan Ramon Guillen to teach courses with which promote employment and stimulate economic activity Nazarene». Thus, the first Nazarene mayor considers this agreement to be of vital importance «in order to reinforce this commitment of the Dos Hermanas City Council, the collaboration between the administrations with the private sector to pool resources that benefit the citizens».
These courses, aimed at improve employability and promote real integration of the people at risk of exclusion and with disabilities, “provide the most vulnerable people the tools needed to access a decent jobespecially in one of the most important sectors of our agroindustry, such as the olive oil sector,” says Álvaro Guillén, patron of the Juan Ramon Guillen Foundation and advisor of Acesurfollowing the signing of the collaboration agreement.
Strengthening the alliance with the council
In addition, with this type of initiatives from the foundation, promoted by the Acesur group“We are strengthening the alliance we have with the local council, as the company has one of its main industrial facilities in the municipality, with around 220 employees.”
The program Coosur Solidarity held its first edition in 2014 and since then they have participated in the different initiatives almost a thousand people with disabilities and at risk of exclusionThe training provided has evolved to reach the current model: short courses, in-person or online, specialized in specific subjects and with a clear orientation towards employment.
