Mexico City. The Undersecretary of Human Rights, Population and Migration, Arturo Medina Padilla, met with the United States ambassador to Mexico, Ken Salazar and his work team.
The objective is to continue the coordination between both nations in matters of human rights, migration and search for people, and benefit the population of both nations.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the National Search Commission (CNB), Teresa Guadalupe Reyes Sahagún; from the Unit for the Defense of Human Rights, Froylan Vladimir Enciso Higuera; and that of the Migration Policy, Registration and Identity of Persons Unit (UPMRIP), both attached to the Segob, Carlos Antonio Vázquez García.
At this meeting it was agreed to continue strengthening the relationship of collaboration and respect between the two neighboring countries.
And in this sense, continue the work of cooperation to address shared responsibility in the bilateral agenda.
Also present were the Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States Embassy in Mexico, Mark C. Johnson.
On behalf of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the director for Mexico, Jene Thomas, and the director of the Office of Governance, Human Rights and Citizen Security, Emily Wann, as well as US Foreign Service Political Section officer Trisha Camara.
