Jakarta –
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) walked around the city and greeted the people of Medan. On the second night in Medan, Jokowi and his two grandchildren, Sedah Mirah and Panembahan Al Nahyan, visited Delipark Mall.
Jokowi was accompanied by Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution, who is also his son-in-law. Jokowi’s entourage was greeted enthusiastically by visitors there.
The atmosphere of the mall that was originally quiet was suddenly bustling. Many people called Jokowi’s name and asked to take pictures together.
One of the visitors, Ayin, was surprised by Jokowi’s arrival. He was happy to meet and take a photo with the President.
“Incidentally, I saw a lot of people screaming ‘father, father’ like that, oh apparently Mr. President, it’s great to be able to meet and take photos with the number one person in Indonesia,” said Ayin, as quoted by a statement from the Presidential Secretariat, Friday (10/2/ 2023).
Another visitor, Yohana, said she did not expect to meet the President.
“(Like) It’s a dream, I’m stressed about work, I suddenly see you, because I was passing from the office just looking, I can’t see you,” he said.
At the mall, President Jokowi visited one of the rides to accompany his two grandchildren to play. Jokowi walked around the mall by holding hands with Sedah Mirah and ‘chairman’ Nahyan.
Afterwards, the President visited several clothing stores and bought pink sweatpants and a black tracksuit for his grandson
