Coldplay frontman Chris Martin spent a day working in a London café for a good cause. The campaign helps the homeless.

Chris Martin (46) spent a day working in a charity cafe for the homeless. On Saturday, the Coldplay frontman’s shift at the Crisis branch in Finsbury Park, London, raised money for people without a roof over their heads.

The singer regularly volunteers to help homeless people. At Christmas time he usually works a shift in the warehouse, as the “Sun” reports. However, since no one was needed there this year, Martin was asked to do a more public shift in the café.

Matt Downie, the store’s general manager, posted on X, formerly Twitter, Shared pictures of the special shift. While working, Martin wore a gray cap and a shirt with the inscription “Love is the drug”. In one photo, Martin stands behind the counter of the coffee shop and serves customers, in another he poses with the employees.

Boss raves about Chris Martin

“A very special guest worked in the Finsbury Park @crisis_uk shop today…” the manager gushed about the temporary employee in his post. And further: “Chris Martin is a valued, long-time supporter and volunteer. One of the nicest people you could meet.”

The Crisis Cafes have been working to end homelessness for 18 years. Among other things, they offer hospitality training to help people escape homelessness.
