Coldplay releases their album ‘Moon music’

Coldplay released their tenth album, “Moon music”, produced by the acclaimed Max Martin. This work continues its commitment to sustainability, being the first album in 140 gram EcoRecord LP format.
The record is made from nine recycled plastic bottles, avoiding more than 25 metric tons of virgin plastic. In addition, it will reduce CO2 emissions by 85% compared to traditional vinyl.
Coldplay also collaborated with The Ocean Cleanup to release the special edition EcoRecord Notebook Edition LP. This edition is made with plastic recovered from the Las Vacas River, Guatemala. This ecological action seeks to prevent plastic waste from reaching the Gulf of Honduras and the Atlantic Ocean.
Musically, “Moon music” includes the hit single “We pray”, featuring British rapper Little Simz. According to Chris Martin, the album is about the internal and external struggle that human beings experience. Martin believes that love can be the best response to these conflicts.

The cover, a photograph of a lunar rainbow captured by Argentine artist Matías Alonso Revelli, reflects the album’s cosmic and mysterious theme. Coldplay’s visual and musical proposal remains in line with its previous projects.
This release is important for the band, as Chris Martin stated that Coldplay will only record two more albums before retiring. According to Martin, the decision seeks to maintain high quality control, following the example of artists like The Beatles and Bob Marley, who left a legacy with few albums.
Martin also mentioned that the band wants to give its members more time to enjoy their personal lives. They will avoid the pressure to continue creating music as they get older. Despite requests from some fans, Martin is convinced that this limit is necessary to protect Coldplay’s artistic integrity.

Songs that make up “Moon music”:
