Coldplay Faces Lawsuit: Former Manager Dave Holmes Files Contract Dispute Case

Will Coldplay trade the stage for the courtroom soon? The British band has been delighting fans all over the world with their songs since 1997. Sold-out tours, numerous number one hits and colorful concerts are part of the repertoire of the group around Chris Martin (46). But success also has its pitfalls: Coldplay are now being sued by their former manager after 22 years of working together.

As Variety reports, Dave Holmes has filed a lawsuit against his former clients in the UK. The lawsuit is about a contract dispute – there is no further information so far, and the legal documents are also not public. Chris and Co. parted ways with Dave last year after almost 22 years of working together, the reason is unknown.

The band meets this lawsuit quite near the end of an era. In December, the artists announced that they wanted to release a final album in 2025 – after that no new songs were planned, only tours and festivals.
