Brussels Expo on Tuesday asked the public who will be driving to the Coldplay concerts, organized at the King Baudouin stadium on August 5, 6, 8 and 9, to buy the parking ticket at car park C in advance to avoid having to line up on arrival.

If you are driving

In view of the expected influx of some 55,000 spectators from Belgium and abroad per concert, the public operator of the City of Brussels also recalled that public transport (metro line 6, tram 3, 7 and 9 , bus 83), “which remain, with the bike, the easiest way to get to the stadium” will be reinforced. Each holder of a ticket for these concerts received an Event Pass code which allows them to withdraw a free return ticket from a vending machine to travel on the network on the day of the concert.

“Car park C around the stadium is proving to be the most efficient solution for parking if you choose to go there by car. In order not to queue on arrival, it is better to buy your parking ticket at the fixed price of 10 euros in advance” (https ://parking.tickets.brussels-expo.com/schedule?language=fr), said Brussels Expo on Tuesday.

If you go by public transport

The Stib will strengthen its transport offer to and from the King Baudouin stadium during the four evening concerts of the group Coldplay.

Metro line 2 will thus be extended to Roi Baudouin, on the route of metro line 6, from 5:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. A metro will run there every 5 minutes until 12:30 a.m. Metro lines 1 and 5 will also be reinforced towards the city center, between 11:00 p.m. and the end of service, with a metro every ten minutes. Metro trains and additional trams are also planned, in reserve, ready to be injected into the network in real time as needed.

The transport company will also broadcast the group’s new album in its stations on concert days. Travelers will also be surprised to hear a message recorded especially for the occasion by Chris Martin, the leader of the group Coldplay, who thanks fans for using public transport to attend the concert.

Finally, recalls the Stib, each ticket holder has received an Event Pass code which allows them to withdraw a free return ticket from a vending machine to travel on the network on the day of the concert.
