NEW YORK — The work week started off with cold temperatures with most inland areas in the 20s on Monday morning and the 30s closer to New York City.
The colder weather will continue into the middle of the week with afternoon highs below average in the 40s and low 50s. It won’t be until Thursday that temperatures will begin to rise again, possibly even reaching 60 degrees on Friday.
Friday will also be the day that a frontal system will approach, bringing the chance of rain that will continue through the first half of our weekend. Our next chance of precipitation will come Tuesday through Wednesday of next week, just before the holiday. Thanksgiving, which will not be good news for all holiday travelers.
