Since Monday, everything seemed to be speeding up about Jadon Sancho’s transfer, Manchester United’s priority in the summer transfer window. The 20-year-old Englishman, who has made his mark at Borussia Dortmund since his arrival three years ago from Manchester City, is still a long way from putting on the Red Devils jersey.
According to The Athletic, the two clubs are unable to agree on the transfer fee, while the latest echoes concerned an amount of € 120 million including bonus. The Mancunian leaders find this amount unrealistic and will not put such an amount on the table. The deadline of August 10 established by the BVB, to be able to return to the market, is not considered viable either. Finally, no agreement was found either with the player on salary conditions, MU not wanting to create too big financial imbalances in his locker room. We are therefore still far from the outcome of this soap opera, even if Manchester United retains the will to recruit the England international.
