HOUSTON, Texas.- A severe storm warning is issued in Harris, Fort Bend, Chambers, Liberty and Montgomery counties due to a cold front on Wednesday.

The long storm line causes heavy rain, electrical discharges, and one-inch hail fall in some regions. The notice is in effect until 11:45 am although it could be extended. Winds are reported at 50 miles per hour.

CenterPoint Energy reported that more than 1,400 customers were without power due to severe weather in the region. To see the map of the places without power, you can do click here.

✈️ Delayed flights
Some flights at Houston-area airports have been delayed due to weather conditions. At the George Bush and Hobby Intercontinental there is a 16 to 30 minute delay due to thunderstorms.
