Société du Grand Paris (SGP) has awarded the Colas Rail/Alstom consortium, of which Colas Rail is an agent, the contract “railway, overhead contact profile and linear equipment” of the second batch of line 17 of the Grand Paris Express. On this lot, which concerns the section between Le Bourget Airport and the Parc des Expositions, south of Roissy CDG airport, the consortium will supply and lay 10 km of railway, the overhead contact profile as well as linear equipment.
The section on which this work will take place includes tunnel, embankment and viaduct parts (over 3 km, see map in illustration). It is therefore located in the middle of the 26.5 km route of line 17, which will extend over 13 municipalities and will connect 9 stations between Saint-Denis Pleyel and Le Mesnil-Amelot. A sideboard “in less than 25 minutes, to facilitate travel for nearly 565,000 inhabitants”recalls the Colas Rail/Alstom consortium, which “will mobilize up to 200 employees” on this project. “To promote access to employment, the site will facilitate access to training for the youngest through apprenticeship contracts, work-study programs and internships at all levels (training for workers, supervisors and engineers)”. A volume ” significant “ hours of labor will be reserved for people far from employment. In addition, a percentage of the works and systems amount should be reserved for VSEs and SMEs.
The first works must start “by mid-2024”. The group also indicates that it pays particular attention to environmental and social impacts.
