Yesterday’s premiere of Company of Heroes 3 resonated widely among the players. Unfortunately, the popularity of the title did not translate into their reviews. The community has split and opinions are mixed.
Yesterday, Company of Heroes 3, the next installment of the popular real-time strategy series, went on sale. This title aroused great interest from the players. This can be seen, for example, in the number of users playing simultaneously (according to SteamDB over 27,000 at the time of writing). The popularity of the game, however, did not translate into its high rating from players.
Mixed reception on Steam
On the platform Steam Company of Heroes 3 currently has almost 3.5 thousand reviews, of which only 57% are positive. This translates into a “mixed” rating. The greatest advantages of the production include optimization and balanced multiplayer gameplay.
As for the disadvantages, the list is quite long. Players criticize many aspects of the gameplay. Among the problems are:
- artificial intelligence of opponents, which is not at a satisfactory level. She is often too passive towards the player;
- content that is not worth the current price. The production also does not offer significant improvements compared to the previous installment of the cycle;
- poor sound. According to many people, the audio quality is very low, which makes the whole sound unnatural;
- there were also voices of low-quality artwork. The most critical people even compare it to the one from the first installment of the cycle;
- opaque interface;
- minor errors.
It is worth noting here that card Company of Heroes 3 Steam was flooded with negative reviews from people who spent only a dozen or several dozen minutes in the title. After such a long time, it is difficult to determine whether the production is actually worth recommending.
Reddit more accommodating
On Reddit though Company of Heroes 3 seems to have a more positive reception. players praise the state of production there. They appreciate, among others, the lack of critical bugs that prevent fun and great optimization.
Of course, there will still be voices about the same problems as described above. Still, the overall tone remains less critical than on Steam.
