Directed by Joel Coen (“Fargo”, “No Country for Old Men”), who has been married to McDormand since 1984 and has brought her in front of the camera several times.
At the end of April, the actress won the Oscar for best leading actress for “Nomadland”. Joel’s brother Ethan is usually involved in Coen projects as a producer, director or screenwriter. “Macbeth” is a solo project by Joel, who also did the script and production.
