The week starts with lots of clouds and winter showers in the form of (wet) snow and hail. Since these, in combination with temperatures below freezing, can lead to slippery conditions, it has KNMI code yellow issued for the entire country.
Monday morning it will be slippery in places because there were some showers last night, sometimes with snow or hail. There is a chance of thunder on the coast this morning and you may experience wind force 6 to 7.
In the afternoon it will remain partly to heavily cloudy with more wintry showers and possible thunder. If it hails or snows heavily somewhere, there is a chance of local slipperiness again. The temperature is between 1 and 5 degrees and occasionally the sun appears around the corner, reports Weather Plaza.
Wintry showers will also occur on Monday evening. Inland, snow and hail can remain, which, in combination with freezing, can make it quite slippery.
If you hadn’t guessed it yet, we will be dealing with (wet) snow or hail again next night. On the coast the temperature is slightly above freezing point, but further inland it is slightly below. The wind is especially strong on the coast.
