A potentially dangerous weather warning for Friday. On the last day of the week, a yellow code for high winds was issued for 17 areas of the country. This is demonstrated by a DarikNews.bg reference on the website of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology /NIMH/. The warning is for the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Lovech, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Ruse, Targovishte, Sliven, Razgrad, Silistra, Shumen, Varna, Dobrich, Pazardzhik and Plovdiv.
The minimum temperatures will be between 2° and 7°, in some basins in southern Bulgaria – up to around 0°, the Institute also reports. Sunny and windy weather will prevail on Friday. A moderate and strong northwesterly wind will blow in the Danube lowland and the western part of the Upper Thracian lowland, and a portion of cold air will invade with it. In the evening the wind will weaken and around midnight it will calm down in most areas. Maximum temperatures will mostly be between 9° and 14°, in Sofia around 9°.
