Codacons presents an exposé for Vannacci’s sentences on disabled people

(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 01 – Codacons announces that it has presented a complaint to 104 prosecutors’ offices regarding the declarations of General Roberto Vannacci, candidate for the European elections for the League, on the subject of school and disability. In the complaint, the consumer association asks the judiciary “to open an investigation in light of possible criminally relevant cases such as ‘propaganda and incitement to crime for reasons of racial, ethnic and religious discrimination'”, it said in a note. “We do not want to go into the merits of the General’s political choices, and in this context we do not contest his candidacy in the next European elections nor do we intend to interfere with the voting preferences of Italians – Codacons clarifies -. However, some statements attributed to Vannacci, due to their gravity and dangerousness, require an intervention by the judiciary aimed at ascertaining whether they could constitute a crime as provided for by our law. In particular, the sentence on separate classes for disabled people raises alarm”. (HANDLE).
