”Codacons Calls Out Rai for Fazio’s Handling of Chiara Ferragni Interview: Should Contract be Renewed?”

”After what happened yesterday in the program ‘Che tempo che fa’, we believe Rai was right not to renew Fabio Fazio’s contract”. Codacons states this in a note, which analyzes yesterday’s interview with Chiara Ferragni. ”Fazio, in opening the influencer’s speech, responded to Codacons by stating that he was not a magistrate, a court, a priest, and appealing to article 21 of the Constitution – we read in the note – But he forgets that to ask questions you don’t need to be a judge in a court of law: a good host asks his guests questions, even uncomfortable or unpleasant ones, and when necessary he pushes them, because otherwise, just like yesterday, he supports the guest on duty by passively accepting everything he says during the interview – states the association”.

”Precisely the subservience shown towards Ferragni – continues Codacons – transformed yesterday’s interview into an indecent spectacle, where in the end the real culprits of the Pandoro-Gate scandal turned out to be consumers and the Antitrust, incapable of understanding the messages on sales and donations launched by the influencer, so stupid that they misunderstood the stories, posts, captions and press releases released on the occasion of the launch of the Chiara Ferragni designer product”.

”And considering the rain of criticism towards Fabio Fazio that has rained down on social media in recent hours for the completely wrong way in which he conducted the interview, and the jab that also came this morning from Fiorello during the episode of ‘VivaRai2!’, perhaps the host would have done better to accept Codacons’ advice and ask Ferragni the famous 7 questions suggested by our association”, concludes the note.
