Two people who worked in the Cochabamba Mayor’s Office were involved in an aggravated robbery that occurred on February 22, against a 14-year-old teenager.

According to the information obtained, the minor was the victim of an attempted robbery by two people who were on board a motorcycle, who surprised him when he was traveling through Lincoln Park, northern area of the city of Cochabamba.

Security cameras managed to capture the moment in which the victim is dragged by these subjects for at least a block, who was clinging to his belongings.

The teenager hits a pole which causes the criminals to lose their balance and end up falling from the motorcycle onto the sidewalk.

For his part, the 14-year-old teenager was able to recover his belongings and despite the impact he received, he was not injured and only suffered some bruises.

After being arrested, the information of both antisocials was verified where it was learned that they were people who provided services in the Ministry of Public Works.

After confirming the identity of those involved, the municipality reported that they proceeded to repeat their contracts and that they will become plaintiffs against these people.

“What we are going to do is become part of this accusation against them for aggravated robbery. In reality, what has been done is to repeat the contracts, because these workers had a relationship called temporary personnel, they are hired at each start of management,” Juan José Ayaviri, press director of the Mayor’s Office, informed UNITEL.
