Cobat presents Cobat Ecofactory, a lithium cell treatment plant

On the occasion of Terrà, the 1st Green Forum of the Energy Transition (Pescara, from 25 to 27 May), Cobat presents Cobat Ecofactory. Born from the synergy between Cobat and Explodenti Sabino and participated by Cobat Ripa, Cobat Ecofactory is an Italian plant capable not only of carrying out selection and sorting, but also of treating and recycling lithium cells, thanks to a European patent developed by Cobat.

A safe process for the collection, management and safe use of portable batteries and accumulators, developed thanks to the over thirty years of experience of Cobat, leader in the initiation of recycling of waste and explosives Sabino, a company with vast experience in the management of explosive materials.

The plant, located in the province of Chieti, is in a particularly strategic position to accommodate the batteries coming from the collection in the Abruzzo region and surrounding areas, as well as the entire national area, with the aim of generating a virtuous economic process circular capable of connecting the supply chain, obtaining benefits from an economic and ecological point of view.
