During an action in the Caribbean Sea, the Coast Guard seized more than 1620 kilos of drugs on board a boat. One of the five people on board was killed in a shelling, the Caribbean Coast Guard reported on Facebook.
The naval ship Zr.Ms. Groningen discovered a so-called go-fast at sea, a fast boat that is often used for cocaine transport. When the five people on board noticed that the Coast Guard was targeting them, they dumped bales of drugs into the sea.
Not the entire party went overboard: the Coast Guard seized more than 1,620 kilos of narcotics. It is believed to be cocaine, the organization said.
