TIME.CO, Jakarta – Vice President of the Party NasDem Ahmad Ali said he will meet with the head of the Prosperous Justice Party’s Shura Council o PKS extension Salim Segaf Al-Jufri tonight, Sunday 25 December 2022. Ali however did not mention the place of the meeting between the two.
“I will meet Pak Salim Segaf tonight,” Ali told Tempo on Sunday, December 25, 2022.
The NasDem Party is currently busy forming a coalition with PKS and Democratic party. Earlier on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, Democratic Party Upper House Speaker Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono alias SBY received a visit from Salim at his residence in Cikeas, West Java.
Ali denied that SBY’s meeting with Salim appeared to be leaving NasDem. According to him, his party continues to communicate with two other parties.

“We are still in communication with Mr. Salim, we met Mr. Salim Segaf today,” he said.
According to Ali, the general chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, had already met with the leaders of the Democratic Party and the PKS. Surya, he said, had already met with SBY and PKS chairman Ahmad Syaikhu. Therefore, the meeting between the Democrats and the PKS, called Ali, was not a problem.
He said the coalition rumored to be called the Coalition for Change supports the principle of equality. According to him, the three parties need each other, so that no party feels superior.
“This coalition is equal, no one feels higher. It all complements each other,” she said.
SBY had previously been visited by Salim at his residence in Cikeas, West Java. Democratic Party General Secretary Teuku Riefky Harsya said the meeting was warm and full of affinity. SBY and Salim started the gathering by eating fried rice made by SBY.
“This is a friendship between two friends to strengthen the union of the Democratic Party and the PKS in the future political struggle,” Teuku said in his statement on Thursday, December 22, 2022.
Teuku said SBY’s meeting with Salim lasted two hours from 7:30pm WIB. Both were accompanied by a succession of Democratic and PKS elites.
In the meeting, Teuku said, SBY and Salim discussed various current issues both domestically and internationally. He said one of the topics of their discussion was the issue of postponing the general election which recently came up again.
“We have discussed various current issues that concern people, even international attention. This includes the issue of postponing the general election which has recently been raised again,” he said.
