This Monday, January 11, 613 thousand young people, adolescents and children from Coahuila will return to classes, in virtual classes in entity, according to the current school calendar and as already determined by the Government of Coahuila.

Though It was known of some private schools that invited parents, voluntarily, to have their children return to classes in person in a mixed system twice a week, SEDU reported at the time that this will not happen in the public system.

Preschool, primary and secondary students will begin work this Monday, January 11, to restart the 2020-2021 school year; in addition to 29 thousand teachers and 13 thousand workers educational support.

According to the State Secretary of Education, this return will be made “with a reinforcement in key learnings”.

The past days January 7 and 8, teachers and school directors held the School Technical Council, to define the line of work, evaluate the progress of the first semester, detect opportunities, design strategies to meet needs and evaluate that the learning keys contemplated in the school program are covered.

For his part The private educational establishments informed parents from the week that just ended, that if they so decided, the blended classes would be held on staggered days and hours to avoid the simultaneous attendance of all the students to the classrooms, a practice that had already taken place before leaving for the December school holiday.

While, The Government of Coahuila reported this past Saturday that emphasis will be placed on the teaching of Mathematics and Language in the virtual contents that start this Monday, whose learning deserves special attention for students, since these are areas that are basic according to the annual educational plan.

The governor, Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís indicated then that the Ministry of Education has focused the needs of students to learn and take advantage of the school year, therefore, work is being done on designing strategies to ensure that they do not fall behind in their learning and advance to the next grade.

For his part, Higinio González Calderón, Secretary of Education in the entity, confirmed that in February, Teachers in front of the group will be vaccinated against covid-19 and it is trusted that, by March, all educational personnel will receive immunization.

However, the return to classes will be given until the State Health Council allows it, and by virtue of the vastness of the Coahuila territory, it will be very difficult for the entire state to put on a green traffic light, which will happen by regions and / or cities where the pandemic has already subsided.
