Coach Tomáš Hejdušek ended up on the Karviná bench due to poor results. The rookie of the top competition is penultimate after eight rounds with four points. Assistants led by Ľubomír Luhová will temporarily take over the team. The Silesian club announced it on its website.
“The reason for the appeal is only four points and the fifteenth place in the table. The new coach is currently in the decision stage,” said MFK sports director Lubomír Vlk. “It is certainly appropriate to thank Tomáš Hejdušek for the work done, after all, as a new beginning coach, he led the team to progress among the elite. Unfortunately, this is football and the team needs a new impulse before the second half of autumn,” he added.
Forty-four-year-old Hejdušek came to Karviná before the start of last season from Baník Ostrava and immediately led it to promotion among the elite. In the top competition, after the 4:1 victory over Zlín in the opening round, Karviná has already played only one draw. They lost the last three first league matches with a score of 2:9, most recently losing to Teplice 0:1 at home on Saturday.

For the former defender or midfielder Hejdušek, the engagement in Karviná was the first in the top competition, before that he led the reserve team of Baník in the third league. The coach was dismissed today also in Hradec Králové, where Jozef Weber finished. According to ČTK information, he will be replaced by Václav Kotal.
