Because HCL member Heinz Jörg Winkler (75) failed with his urgent application for temporary legal protection. With a decision on Friday, the 3rd Chamber of the Leipzig Administrative Court rejected the application of a passive member of the association to oblige the city of Leipzig by way of an interim order to allow HCL home games with 150 spectators in accordance with the present hygiene concept as inadmissible.

The reason given is: The application is already inadmissible because the applicant is neither the organizer nor has claimed that he wants to participate as a spectator. Furthermore, the application would not have been successful in the matter either. The prohibition of sports events with spectators follows from § 4 of the Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance, the granting of special permits is not provided. Applicants can submit a normative review application to the Saxon Higher Administrative Court against the regulation itself.

“Of course I am disappointed, but the decision was to be expected and it is understandable,” said Winkler, responding to the negative decision. He still hopes to see his favorite team live again soon – for the time being, of course, in a live stream.
