Zuzenhausen – According to coach Sebastian Hoeneß, the football professionals at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim are continuously vaccinated against the corona virus.
“If I am properly informed, when it comes to players, we are at the 100 percent mark,” said the 39-year-old at a press conference for the Bundesliga club. The staff also have a “very, very high vaccination rate”.
Hoeneß emphasized that he himself was also vaccinated. That is also why he has no concerns that he could have infected his coaching colleague Jesse Marsch in the 2-0 win against RB Leipzig last matchday. The Leipzig head coach tested positive this week. “In that case, I didn’t talk to him for long and not at close range,” said Hoeneß before the Kraichgauer’s game on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky) at SpVgg Greuther Fürth.
Since the 2G-plus rule applies in Fürth, as well as from the upcoming TSG home game on December 4th against Eintracht Frankfurt, according to which vaccinated or recovered persons must also provide negative test evidence, Hoffenheim has made its fans an offer: The supporters who follow Fürth can be tested for free on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the PreZero Arena in Sinsheim.
Hoffenheim can again fall back on goal scorer Andrej Kramaric against Fürth, but fears about the use of regular goalkeeper Oliver Baumann. «There is a question mark at Olli. He has mild symptoms, ”said Hoeness. A corona test at Baumann was negative.
Kramaric was last absent in the 2-0 win against RB Leipzig due to a head injury that he sustained in the international match with Croatia. «Andrej started training yesterday. That went well, it looks good, »said Hoeneß. For captain Benjamin Hübner, who was back in the squad for the first time last Saturday after more than 500 days of injury, the mission
Probability low.
