Yes, we are happy about the successful start to the season. However, we remain humble. After all, on Saturday we have a duel with Mladá Boleslav and then another very difficult match with Slavia and at Baník. Anyway, we raised our self-confidence.

What do you expect from Saturday’s meeting with Boleslav?
–
We will come across an experienced and well-made team with a number of distinctive individuals. Boleslav have two draws so far, but in Zlín and at home with Jablonec they were closer to winning. Nothing easy awaits us. Especially when we have to count on the fact that they will pay more attention to us after our win on Hané.

Do you draw your players’ attention to the veteran Matějovský, who is still the driving force of the Central Bohemian team even in his forties?
–
Definitely. After all, he is Mladá Boleslav’s best football player, through whom most events go. He can be incredibly active, so we must not leave him too much space. However, the opponent also has other experienced personalities in the lineup. For example, Milan Škoda in the attack, Suchý in the stopper position or goalkeeper Polaček. It would be ideal if the beginning of the match worked for us and the spectators caught on.

Are you happy that football is starting to be talked about in Brno again in a much more positive way than until recently?
–
If that is the case, then only good for us. Of course, we realize that one or two swallows do not make spring. So our goal is to build on previous results against Boleslav. I wish the auditorium was as full as possible. If we could manage the duel with Boleslav, I believe that in the next two weeks Slavia might even be sold out.

So far, your defense is working, although the starting line-up is missing pre-season reinforcements Matejov and Divíšek, who were given a lot of space on the edges of the defense in preparation…
–
They started quite a lot, because we knew about their qualities, but we still wanted to see them as new players. However, in the matches with Slovácko and Haná, we preferred Hrabina and Granečný instead of them, because both are the types of defenders who were better able to eliminate the speed types of our opening opponents. But Matejov and Hrabina will definitely get a chance. It is very good that we have all the posts duplicated.

You are probably pleasantly surprised by the young stopper Endl, who did not play much in the second league in the spring…
–
We know very well what is in Endlík. (smile). Experienced stopper Štěrba is now out due to injury, but Endl is doing very well in the center of defense.

They complement Šural well, don’t they?
–
Kuba Šural is officially the oldest in our team, he carries Zbrojovka in his heart. He should run the defense. It’s great that he took the chance.

You were aiming for one more hitter…
–
As far as I know, negotiations are still ongoing. But we also have Hlavica in reserve, who is doing great in training and is ready to jump in at any time.

Youth representative Ševčík drew attention to himself with excellent performances in the opening two league rounds. Aren’t you worried that you will lose him in this transfer window?

If such a lucrative offer came to him, which would significantly help the club, it could probably happen. On the other hand, it would also be a certain honor for Zbrojovka that we are able to train players who are interested in larger clubs.
