Co-Chairman of “We Continue the Change” Kiril Petkov Questioned as Witness in Investigation Against MP Radostin Vassilev

“I am being called as a witness on a subject I am not familiar with. If it is like with Asen Vassilev, it is on the thesis with the threats against Radostin Vassilev, which he himself refuted. I hope it will be a short meeting. I have no worries,” said the co-chairman of “We continue the change” Kiril Petkov before the questioning at the City District Prosecutor’s Office.

The reason for the questioning is the investigation into coercion and threats against the MP Radostin Vassilev, who broke away from the party.

He emphasized that he does not trust the prosecution. “We see that they are taking quite strong political positions. They play it with the same cases, both dead bodies and appearing,” added Petkov.

He also commented on whether and how the House of Representatives will vote on Boyko Borisov’s requested immunity from the prosecutor’s office. “I believe in the power of true justice. I believe in standard procedures in Parliament and hope that by following them we will achieve true justice. We will not allow the prosecutor’s office to be used as a club, it is not just about Borisov. I have low confidence in the services, I think there should be a huge reform in the services,” added Petkov.
