Booth 360. The shock wave of CNSS fraud by the two Islamist ministers affected Saâd-Eddine El Othmani, who was forced to postpone the Government Council on Saturday. The PJD suffered from this scandal, especially since the Transparency Commission could not decide on this case.

The head of government had a difficult weekend following the repercussions of the CNSS affair in which two of his colleagues in government and the party are involved. Suddenly, the Government Council which was to be held last Saturday was postponed. Especially since several voices are raised in Parliament asking for the resignation of the two ministers, without forgetting that there is more and more talk of a radical change in the government team. Saâd-Eddine El Othmani’s difficulties were not limited to the prime minister. Indeed, they created turmoil within his party, which failed to contain this legal and moral slippage.

Because, when the Islamists expected things to settle with the hearing of Mustapha Ramid, last Friday, and hoped for a decision that would save the face of the party, the Transparency Committee was able to decide on this matter. Some sources indicate that the said commission chaired by the adviser to the head of government, Saïd Khairoune, found the violation of the law by Mustapha Ramid and Mohamed Amekraz. The Minister of State is said to have tried to justify his mistake by his good faith, as it has been widely disseminated in the media and on social networks. A justification which provoked a wave of criticism and which embarrassed the said commission, the shock wave of the scandal could not be mitigated and the two ministers could not be sacrificed on the eve of the holding of the Council of government.

The daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia reports, in its edition of Monday June 29, that the party knew a restricted internal debate where certain members pushed for a firm position, to circumscribe this affair. This is confirmed by certain leaders of the PJD who, on condition of anonymity, affirmed that the Transparency Commission had treated the Ramid file with firmness. Others, like the young leader Hassan Hamoro, consider that the organs of the party, including the Transparency Commission, are empowered to deal with offenses relating to public management and not those relating to the private offices of party members . CNSS fraud, he adds, should be the subject of simple advice and an appeal for respect for rights and laws.

The fact remains that the Islamists are in a bad position, in particular their secretary general and head of government who sees the critics flaring from all sides. The parliamentarians were the most virulent and asked for the resignation of the two ministers implicated in the CNSS fraud case. Others asked for the creation of commissions of inquiry on this subject, knowing that the Minister of Labor, Mohamed Amekraz, had refused to answer questions from parliamentarians and their call for the CNSS to open an investigation into this case. Indeed, the Minister, who is also chairman of the board of directors of the CNSS, did not see fit to accede to their request.
