The CNN correspondent admitted that she should have checked the information more carefully and apologized for the statements made on CNN about children with severed heads being found in Kfar Aza.
Correspondent Sarah Sidner publicly apologized on October 13 on her social media. She noted that at first Israel confirmed this information, but the next day clarified that it actually could not do this. “From now on, I need to be more careful with the wording, and I apologize,” the journalist added.
Information began to spread on October 10, when Israeli journalist Nicole Zedek reported for the i24NEWS channel that after the attack in Kibbutz Kfar Az, the bodies of 200 murdered Israelis were allegedly found, including about 40 children, some of whom had their heads cut off. Later she admitted that she did not see this personally, but heard information from one of the military.
