The National Electoral Council (CNE) described this Tuesday, April 18, as “unfeasible” the request of the National Primary Commission of the Unitary Platform to eliminate the fingerprint capture machines for the vote in which the presidential candidate for 2024 will be elected.
“The CNE considers the request of the National Primary Commission to eliminate the biometric authentication process from the voting system unfeasible, since it is an integral part of the Venezuelan system.”
The electoral Power clarifies that “only the integrated Automated Voting System is what would guarantee transparency and security in the primary election of the opposition”.
