1954-2024: seven decades serving the Cévenols, for the Comptoir Ménager Alésien (CMA), which is writing a new page in its history, with the very recent creation, in Saint-Privat-des-Vieux, of its new energies branch, at the cutting edge of technology. At the head of the company, two associate directors, Cédric Giraud, a young forty-year-old and his elder, Christophe Molinier.
A last name which is reminiscent of another old Alesian household appliance institution, since he is the son of the founder of the eponymous establishment, who brings all his Hifi and antenna experience within the CMA to Alès. For Cédric Giraud, “eighteen-year-old maintenance technician at Axens in Salindres, I’m still in the technical field. But being a director, it’s a new challenge. A life choice. An opportunity that I seized. Because in Saint-Privat-des-Vieux, we relocated the CMA to several different activities. Everything related to new generation heating, with heat pumps, air conditioning. Gas, oil, wood and pellet boilers; and then the photovoltaic part, electricity, and installation of panels”.
With a team of twelve technicians to manage, indicates Cédric Giraud, “the CMA in Saint-Privat deals with everything relating to the study, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Here, we have an advisory role , with design office and project managers, then installers for each field, such as climate engineering, biomass, etc.
“It’s very gripping.”
Alongside the CMA of Alès where five other employees are working, “we also provide repairs for its large household appliances. We have annexed it to Saint-Privat for accessibility, delivery and storage, close to the center city, in magnificent premises, where we also welcome the public for advice, studies and quotes.
For Cédric Giraud, young manager in cutting-edge activities, “it’s very demanding. When it comes to new energies, we carry out all our studies and our technicians are trained. We don’t subcontract anything!”
