Pathanamthitta: BJP state president K Surendran has said that MA Baby is a marginalized leader in the CPM. There is no place in the party other than to say Baby is on the roadside. The Chief Minister should be prepared to say that the CPM’s stand on the Sabarimala issue was wrong. He was inaugurating the family protection meeting at Sugathakumari’s house in Vazhuvel. Surendran was responding to a statement by CPM politburo member MA Baby that the propaganda that the government would give a new affidavit on the Sabarimala issue was wrong.
Surendran publicly admitted that what his government had done in Sabarimala was wrong and demanded that the Chief Minister apologize to the faithful. The Chief Minister, dressed as the leader of the renaissance, should state his position. The affidavit should be amended after stating the position in public. Believers will not take the CPM’s revolt at face value. Devotees will never forget what happened in the shadow of the court order. Surendran said the believers will not forgive the CPM for the atrocities committed at Sabarimala, even if they bathe in a thousand Ganges.
