The Seahawks scored their second touchdown in their first four downs midway through the second quarter. The scoring play came at 7:41 when Russell Wilson connected with Tyler Lockett for their second TD on a short 5-yard pass to the right on first and goal.

That play ended Seattle’s 10 plays and 75 yards, and the Seahawks took the lead for the first time. The extra point was good, and the Cardinals follow them, 14-10.

Arizona is back in the lead at 10-7 over the Seahawks after Matt Prater posted a 41-yard field goal at 11:44 in the second period.

It was his first of the game, which completed the Cardinals’ second possession for 19 plays and 66 yards.

A J. Green caught his 700th career pass on a 5-yard run at 3:24 in the opening period. Upon entering this game, Green only needed one to reach this plateau.

He joins teammate DeAndre Hopkins, forward Antonio Brown and Julio Jones as the only active players with over 700 receptions and over 10,000 receiving yards.

Green caught another pass from Kyler Murray on a through pass earlier in the quarter on the third and 8 of Arizona’s own 33, which would have hit its target. But Green was sentenced to a penalty for offensive pass interference, which called off the 26-yard game.

It took no more than two games for the Cardinals’ defense to score in the first period.

Chandler Jones sacked Russell Wilson in second and 10th against the Seahawks 25 for a loss of nine at 2:48 pm. Cardinals defensive end Zach Allen recovered the loose ball and executed it for a touchdown.

It was Allen’s third fumble and his first touchdown this season, and Jones has 10.5 sacks. The extra point was good.

Seattle responded quickly when Russell Wilson threw a 43-yard laser at Tyler Lockett, who caught it at 12 and directed it to the right corner of the end zone in third and -2 at 12:26.

James Conner returns for the Cardinals after missing their last two games with his heel injury.

The Cardinals’ Pro Bowl-linked top scorer and leading scorer suffered a heel injury in their road loss to the Detroit Lions on Dec. 19. Conner was a game decision for the third straight week heading into Sunday’s game against the Seahawks.

He was seen during pre-game warm-ups in his play pants doing drills on the field, unlike last week where he was in sweat pants testing his foot before their game against the Cowboys in Dallas.

Conner will handle most of Arizona’s running game load with help from backup RBs Jonathan Ward and Eno Benjamin while their other start Chase Edmonds is out (ribs / toes).

Wide rookie Rondale Moore is out for the third straight game with his ankle injury. In addition to Moore, the Cardinals’ other inactive players against Seattle are tight end Demetrius Harris, quarterback Trace McSorley, rookie cornerback Marco Wilson, defensive tackle Jordan Phillips and offensive lineman Josh Miles.

The Seahawks are inactive as linebacker Bobby Wagner, CB John Reid, guard Gabe Jackson, TE Will Dissly and QB Jacob Eason.
