CM – MLB record: Phillies scored 17 points in win over Reds

Andrew McCutchen scored two homers and scored four runs, Odubel Herrera scored two homers, hit a single and hit in three runs and the Philadelphia Phillies routed the Cincinnati Reds host 17-3 on Tuesday.

Rhys Hoskins had a homerun, one-two and three-run hit and Ronald Torreyes had two hits, including his first homer since 2017 and two runs batted in. Matt Joyce hit a grand slam in the ninth inning against infielder Alex Blandino for a 14-point lead.

Tyler Naquin homed and produced two runs for the Reds and Nick Castellanos had two hits to extend his hitting streak to 18 games. Reds starter Sonny Gray (1-4) lasted just 4 2/3 innings and allowed six hits and four runs while striking out eight and walking one.

Josh Reddick’s two-point brace in the bottom of the 10th gave Arizona a victory over New York in Phoenix.

Reddick’s hit against Trevor May (2-2) barely hit the line; he was reviewed by the referees and the fair ball rule remained. Eduardo Escobar and Pavin Smith, who had three RBIs, both scored. Arizona, who have lost 14 of their last 16 games, rallied for a point late in the ninth to force extra innings.

Dominic Smith hit his third homer of the season and Marcus Stroman struck out six without a walk in his six innings for the Mets.
