“Like other health establishments, the Cornouaille Hospital Center is concerned by cases of multiple contamination of professionals with covid-19, despite the implementation of barrier measures,” she writes. In total, in the past few weeks, 77 professionals, whether symptomatic or not, have tested positive for Coronavirus to date. The healed professionals have resumed their activity. In order to control the spread of covid-19 among health professionals in direct contact with users and patients and to protect patients, the Chic reports measures adapted and reinforced according to the evolution of the situation: “A An expanded screening campaign in the care services concerned has been set up, professionals working in units where several cases of contamination have been identified are screened weekly by antigen test ”.
Generalized screening of patients before operation
Other measures mentioned include the screening of patients before general hospitalization and awareness-raising actions by the operational hygiene team on good practices in terms of wearing personal protective equipment and respecting barrier measures.
