“When they are used on the battlefield, it will immediately be seen from the howl in the swamps. As soon as Russian publics start howling that they have begun to bombard with cluster munitions, this means: they came to us, we started working with them. There are a lot of different cluster-level ammunition: there are aerial bombs, there are artillery shells, there are MLRS. The most optimal for us is the M26 cluster munition for the Hymars“, – said Svitan
According to him, in addition to the Hymars, cluster charges can be used in the MLRS multiple launch rocket system, one salvo of which consists of 12 missiles covering an area of 25,000 square meters.
“Only one missile has 644 submunitions, and 12 missiles have under eight thousand. It covers 25 thousand square meters. This is one salvo of MLRS. Nothing survives, plus it destroys light armor. The tank, of course, will not burn through, but it burns through and destroys light armor – This is what the Russians are afraid ofthe expert explained.
He added that the United States has millions of such ammunition in warehouses. As for fears that many of the mini-bombs do not explode, Roman Svitan said: this figure is no more than four percent, unexploded ordnance is clearly visible on the ground, as they are painted with bright paint.
