Clueso opens artist hideaway on Mallorca: What to expect at Bikini Hotel Es Trenc

A mixture of serenity and hedonism hovers over the premises, which are designed in the “Gypset Style”, whose roots lie in San Francisco in the 1960s with the hippie movement. The atmosphere is exactly right for Clueso to become a songwriting laboratory, a creative hangout or even a production facility. “David Bowie once said that traveling is fuel for songs,” says Clueso. “Against this background, it is brilliant to bring everything together in this new place: the creative, the beginning, the bringing home.” Clueso has always worked in hotels. This is how his album “Hand Gepäck” came about and his current album was also recently produced in a hotel with the production team Decco.

“With Clueso, we immediately noticed that he is a real hotel aficionado,” says Christoph Hoffmann, co-founder of 25hours and Bikini Hotels. “We firmly believe that hotels are enriched by people like him. With a different way of thinking, a different philosophy and romance. These old, legendary artist hotels were houses that were run with soul – because artists enriched these hotels with their soul.” According to a statement from the hotel, Clueso plans to spend a lot of time at the Bikini Hotel Es Trenc in the future to work there, meet up with artist friends or just hang out.

Good news for the environment: Instead of building new, three existing buildings were renovated for the Bikini Island & Mountain Hotel Es Trenc.
