Clubs meet to form a league within four months; Botafogo is the only big one that does not participate

Brazilian football moves towards the creation of a league. According to Lauro Jardim’s blog, in “O Globo”, 12 clubs held a meeting at the BTG Actualin São Paulo, with bank executives and representatives of Codajás Capital.

The idea is to create a league in Brazilian football within 120 days. There will be another meeting on March 17th. BTG can seek an investor, but other banks can also go after it, as there is no exclusivity.

O Botafogo was the only one of the big Brazilian clubs not to send a representative. The presidents or vice-presidents of: Atlético-MG, Corinthians, cruise, Flamengo, Fluminense, Guild, International, palm trees, Red Bull Bragantino, Santos, Sao Paulo e Basque.
