Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Clubhouse audio streaming application recently accidentally launched a private messaging feature to a handful of their users.
The Verge, quoted on Tuesday, reported a number of tweets from Clubhouse users claiming to have discovered a text messaging feature called Backchannel, last week.
Unfortunately, not long after, Clubhouse removed this Backchannel feature.
Users who get the Backchannel feature say it looks unfinished.
Clubhouse declined to comment on plans for new features being developed, however, said they were continuing to work on new features.
“As part of the development process, Clubhouse periodically explores and tests potential features. These functions are sometimes part of the app, but sometimes they are not,” said a Clubhouse spokesperson.
It’s also unclear whether Clubhouse accidentally brought up this feature or is holding a limited beta trial.
