In recent years, Anderlecht has been lord and master of Belgian women’s football, but a quality injection at the rest of the clubs and a few departures from the Purple & White should provide fireworks in the Super League this year.
The women of Club Brugge have already succeeded today – on the third match day – in putting that fire to the national champion’s shins.
Both teams ended the first hard-fought half of that match, after goals from Esther Buabadi and Amber Maximus, with a 1-1 draw.
After the break, it was hard to wait until the 84th minute before Ludmila Matavkova – with a long shot – made it 2-1.
Club YLA continues their winning streak with a great 9 out of 9. Anderlecht is immediately dependent on chasing and remains behind with 3 out of 6.
