Juve, while remaining firm, takes another small step towards Club World Cup 2025. At the end of the shift Champions, the penultimate of the group stage, the main pursuers of the Juventus club have in fact not added points to what they have accumulated so far, losing a golden opportunity to undermine the Old Lady. But how does qualification work?
The only certain thing: no more than two per nation
The official criteria have not yet been communicated by Fifa, but we already know that only the points won in the last four editions of the Champions League will count. At the Club World Cup 2025, the competition strongly supported by Gianni Infantino, 32 teams will participate between June and July, 12 of which will be European. To those already qualified Chelsea, Real Madrid e Manchester City – as winners of the last three editions of the main continental competition – the next winner of the big-eared cup plus eight other clubs will be added. How will they be selected? There cannot be more than two teams per nation, but it will be necessary to understand which of the two calculation systems will be taken into consideration. But what are they? Let’s go and discover them.
