FIFA president Gianni Infantino has revealed some of the decisions taken in the last period regarding the federation’s competitions.
Infantino said the 2025 Club World Cup will consist of 32 teams instead of the mini-version that appeared in previous years.
He stressed that the 2023 edition of the tournament will be held in February in Morocco, with the participation of 7 teams, including Real Madrid, champions of the Champions League.
During his speech, Infantino underlined the possibility of continuing as FIFA president until 2031, considering his current mandate as the first of 3 periods during which he can be present as head of the most important body in the management of the football affairs of the world.
It is worth mentioning that these statements came on the sidelines of the press conference held by the FIFA president today, Friday, before the final match of the Qatar 2022 World Cup between Argentina and France next Sunday.
