The company that manages the club submitted its candidacy, but a problem with the documentation has prevented the process from being completed
The company Club Deportivo SAD (Sociedad Anónima Deportiva), Deportivo Guadalajara, has presented its candidacy to manage the ground and first floors of the food market, however, the project has not been able to go ahead.
As confirmed to Guadalajara Daily Carlos Avila, president of the club, There was a problem with the documentation. As he explained to our digital newspaper, when opening one of the envelopes at the contracting table of the Guadalajara city council, they verified that there were deficiencies. According to Ávila, the problem was that the 2021 Corporation Tax had not been filed on time, a problem that they have already corrected, but outside the term that the process provided “On Tuesday they told us that in one of the envelopes there was documentation that was not well presented and they are going to have to re-bid the management of the market,” declare.
Doubts about whether they will be presented again
Although there is a new call to manage the supply market, the president of Depor is not clear that they will apply again. At this time they are waiting for confirmation if they have won another process that they have presented in Madrid and that could be exclusive “I don’t know, it depends on Madrid because we believe that they have awarded us that one and the club has to choose which project to invest in”– affirms “It also depends on the sports season and the club’s budget. To this day, and if they take it out again, I can’t say if we will present ourselves again or not “– ditch the president of Depor.
Sports and leisure use
Regarding the use that Depor was going to give to the food market, Ávila does not want to reveal many details “There is no point in talking about something that will not go ahead”– declares. What the president of the club does confirm is that a part was going to have sports use and the rest was going to be left in the hands of another company “We were going to outsource the rest”– states.
The contest, which was published at the end of February 2023, reduced the price of the canon by 50% over the previous call. If two and a half years ago the chosen company had to pay, at least, 49,000 euros per year to keep the management of the building, now only 22,442 euros were requested. Despite this, only one company, Depor, had been interested in the project.
It must be remembered that this is the third time trying to find a manager for the supply market without success and everything suggests that there will be a fourth.
