Striker Paolo Guerrero confirmed that his mother was the victim of threats shortly after his move to the César Vallejo de Trujillo club was announced. In statements to América Televisión, the “Predator” pointed out that for this reason he will not play for the “poets” team.
“I was happy to sign for Vallejo, I did not expect to reach these stages. It is a decision that I have made with my family not to arrive, to terminate my contract due to all the threats that I continue to receive. Yesterday we received again,” declared the former captain of the national team.
Paolo Guerrero’s lawyer, Julio García, pointed out that the president of the soccer club, Richard Acuña, was aware of the threats that his sponsor was receiving and yet, they insist that he play for the Trujillo club. “The club does not want to release Paolo and basically the point is ‘either you come to Trujillo or you stop playing football,’” he added.

Guerrero pointed out that the soccer player, Christian Cueva, also offered to talk to some friends he had in order to guarantee his safety. “Look, here things are spicy, it’s rough, but stay calm, I’m going to chalequeque you here,” “Aladdin” would have told him.
However, the threats would not have ended and the César Vallejo club will remain in its position that the contract is fulfilled and the “Predator” plays with its colors.
