Club Brugge booked an important victory in the Jupiler Pro League on Sunday. The reigning national champion put AA Gent aside 2-0 and thus widened the gap in the battle for the Champions’ Play-offs. Ferran Jutgla was allowed to show up for 85 minutes on the side of Bruges.
The Spaniard seems to be gradually playing football in the favor of Scott Parker. After a pelvic injury, he was also allowed to start against Cercle Brugge in the starting line-up. Against the Association, he was good for an assist in Noa Lang’s 0-1. Jutgla started excellently in Bruges and scored continuously. The engine has stalled lately, but that apparently does not alter the fact that there is still great interest in the young Spaniard.
According to transfers, which relies on various unnamed sources, Atlético Madrid may be interested in Jutgla. Other clubs in La Liga would also follow the attacker’s actions closely, but some Atlético are mentioned by name. Diego Simeone’s club is said to be looking for attacking reinforcements for next season in order to compete for prizes again. According to the said source, the asking price for Jutgla would be around 25 million euros.
20 MILLION
Blauw-Zwart would not really want to participate in a transfer for an amount lower than the asking price. If Club actually cashes in 25 million euros, it will do an excellent job. After all, it only put 5 million euros on the table last summer to loosen Jutgla at FC Barcelona B. A profit of no less than 20 million euros beckons.
