Club BMX Gatineau hosted Rounds 1 and 2 of the Coupe Québec BMX, which took place on June 3 and 4 at Parc Gilles Maisonneuve in the Masson-Angers sector of Gatineau.
Make people discover and love the practice of BMX for fun or to perform in high-level competitions; this is the mission of the Club BMX Gatineau.
On June 3 and 4, the Gatineau club hosted cyclists from all regions of Quebec and Canada as part of the first two rounds of the Coupe Québec BMX.
The Quebec BMX Cup has a total of 12 rounds that will take place between now and the fall. The pilots must accumulate points during each of the events and champions will be crowned in the autumn within the various categories.
Gatineau BMX Club Media Manager Annick Proulx says these various categories include recreational and competitive components and include two-year-olds in the Bike Trotters category, up to adult categories.
During the events held at Parc Gilles Maisonneuve in the Masson-Angers sector in Gatineau, 930 runners registered and took part in one or the other event.
The next two rounds of the Quebec BMX Cup will take place in the Quebec region on June 10 and 11 in St-Augustin-de-Desmaures.
