Club Atlético Los Ángeles, has a new board of directors

Last February 19, in a virtual meeting, the election of the new board of directors that will govern the sports destinations of the Los Angeles Athletic Club was held, headed by Eduardo Contreras. This finally was composed of Danny Silva Ormeño, president; vice president, Cristián Rogazy; secretary, Cristian Bascuñán and director, Carlos Escobar.

In conversation with La Tribuna, Danny Silva Ormeño, said that his new role within CALA fills him with pride and satisfaction. He said that his objective will be to further promote local athletics, even when the pandemic has made this sport difficult. “Promote and enhance local athletics, where children and adolescents can develop and project themselves into the future as professional athletes.”

She added that her desire is to create and manage national competitions in Los Angeles, where she is certified and the best athletes in the country can attend. “Look for sponsorships from companies, where they can help our athletes and especially those who are in high performance and that with this they can pay for tickets, accommodation, clothing, etc. Encouraging them to move on and believe in their dreams, because this sport is sacrificed (like any discipline) but in the case of athletics we must train in all kinds of weather and outdoors ”.

Regarding how difficult it has been to train under pandemic conditions, Silva indicated that the preparation is being done in the established time slot. “We train at the Los Angeles municipal stadium, for which we appreciate the management of the Los Angeles municipal sports office, which has given us permission to train only the club’s federated athletes.”
