“It was a planned clean-up,” he immediately explains. “I do not feel any pain. I don’t do ‘being in pain’ and pain is nice with a ‘p’,” he quickly reassures. Although the timing of the procedure does not seem ideal. Koen and Kris Wauters are celebrating Clouseau’s fortieth anniversary this year with a busy schedule and no fewer than twelve shows in the Sportpaleis. “That’s unbelievable. 170,000 tickets have already been sold,” he adds. But despite the discomfort, he assures that his knee problems will not derail those planned shows. “I only have to recuperate for two months normally, then I will soon run a marathon again,” he says with a smile.

Clouseau celebrates their 40th anniversary with their 125th performance at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp. The tickets for the first concert sold out in no time. The band soon added extra dates and has now completed twelve shows. No fewer than 170,000 tickets flew out in barely an hour. Not only on December 20, but also on December 21, 23, 27, 28 & 30, 2024 and January 3, 4, 9 and 10, 2025, Koen and Kris will be in the Sportpaleis. “This goes so much further than we could ever have imagined,” assures Kris. “The enthusiasm is great,” assures the duo.
